Subsequently, the LRT service along this stretch is slow as the service has to be undertaken under a manual mode. A total of 29 four-car trains were deployed but the service remains slow and the crowd still have to wait longer to enter a train.
The technical hiccup situation arises following an exercise to remove an obsolete part of a signaling system as advised by a signaling system contractor appointed by RapidKL.
The exercise, which started at 12am this morning and supervised by the signaling system contractor, encountered unexpected difficulties at 4:00am which disrupted the Automatic Train Operation System for the line.
Currently, RapidKL engineers are resolving the situation and the system is back to normal at 12:27pm today. RapidKL regrets any inconvenience arising from the situation.
